On Saturday, more recipients than ever were served at the United Harvest Mobile Food Pantry, jointly administered by the First United Methodist Church and the First Presbyterian Church.  Over 350 households representing 1046 people were provided with a variety of fresh, frozen, boxed, and canned foods.  Though the food ordered by the United Harvest team was not intended to serve that many people (because fewer were expected), every recipient in attendance received food, and some was left over and either donated to Crossroads or saved for the next distribution.  Praise God for this provision, reminiscent of Jesus’ feeding of the 5,000: “They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.”  (Matthew 14:20)
