Byron Jensen, Director of Handbell Choirs, is a professor of music at Hastings College where he teaches courses in music history, education, coordinates the strings studio, and conducts the HC Handbell Choir. He is also Conductor/Artistic Director of the Hastings Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Jensen has directed handbell choirs since 1990 at various collegiate and church venues, has served as a handbell clinician, and is recognized for his dedication in bringing the joy or ringing to all ages. His groups at Hastings College have twice been invited to perform for the Nebraska Music Educators conference, and the group often travels during the spring semester. Praised for his insightful and meaningful contributions to worship as a conductor of sacred music, Dr. Jensen welcomes everyone who has an interest in ringing handbells at First Presbyterian Church.
