I want to update you on the restarting of In-Person worship. We have now had two successful Sundays! Our first Sunday back, 2/28, we had 99 people in-person and 209 participating in stay-at-home worship. Last Sunday we had 84 in-person and 212 doing stay-at-home worship. We are pretty excited about these numbers and the level of engagement that they reflect. This week we are actually upgrading our camera systems in the sanctuary, so if you decide to do stay-at-home worship on Sunday, see if you notice a difference in the quality of the video.

In-person worship does look and feel a little different these days. Face masks are required, there is no congregational hymn singing, and social distancing is observed, so you may not get to sit in your normal pew as we seek to spread people out for safety. However, the feedback we have received is that it is great to be back worshiping in our sanctuary. If you would like to join us for in-person worship this Sunday, 3/14, please register your attendance by clicking on this link and filling out the form: https://bit.ly/FPCH-Res14 or you can call the church office to register at 402-462-5147

In other news, Pastor Damen and I continue to do the “Monday Check-In.” This is a weekly podcast/broadcast we do that includes prayer, a short Bible study chat, along with updates and announcements about the life of our church. This week we reflected on John 3:14-21, which includes the well-known John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” Pastor Damen and I discuss this verse along with some other gems in this passage. You will learn a new word if you listen to: Orthopraxy.
