Greg grew up in Flagstaff, AZ and was an active member of Federated Community Church. Greg graduated cum laude from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA with a double major in Spanish and Political Science where he was on the speech and debate team and V.P. of the student government association. Greg met his wife Jessica in college where they both rowed on the crew team. They married in 2001 and moved to Ecuador where Greg was a Rotary Scholar, earning a Master’s degree from a Catholic university while Jessica taught English as a second language. After returning to the U.S., Greg worked in private industry, higher education, and as the field operations manager for a faith-based organization that works on water purification projects in Latin America.

Greg and Jessica welcomed their daughter Esther in 2009. In 2010 Greg attended Austin Presbyterian Theological seminary while serving as a pulpit supply pastor for a church in Caldwell, TX and assisting at El Buen Pastor, a bilingual/multicultural church in Austin. In 2012, Greg began work at the Presbyterian denominational offices in Louisville, KY as the General Manager of Presbyterian World Mission, helping support and oversee the mission efforts of the PC(USA), before taking a call in 2015 as the Director of Global Mission at F.P.C. of Atlanta where he oversaw all the church’s international mission efforts and served on the pastoral team for worship leadership, preaching, and pastoral care.

Greg and his family are delighted to live in Hastings, NE where they are an active part of the community. He is grateful to be serving the vibrant community at First Presbyterian Church of Hastings and strives to lead the congregation as they grow in their faith, thrive in their fellowship, and shine the love and light of Christ into their community and the world.  Greg may be reached at greg@fpchastings.org.
