Dear First Presbyterian Church Family:

I wrote you last week to share that Session (the leadership council of the church) voted to continue to suspend in-person worship in the sanctuary for the month of August. We also received a lot of positive feedback about our “Worship in the Park” services. So for the month of August, we will offer two worship services every Sunday:

9am Worship in the Park

10:30am Stay-at-Home Worship Broadcast from the sanctuary on Facebook Live and KICS 1550AM radio

Here are some details:

9am worship in the park: If you come to this service, please plan to bring your own chair and a facemask. It will be a simplified service that will run about 45 minutes. We won’t have any hymns at this service and the music will be prerecorded.

10:30am Stay-at-Home Worship Broadcast will be available as usual on Facebook Live and 1550am KICS radio. This is our more “traditional” service that will include organ music, hymns, and our standard liturgy.

This is our worship schedule for the month of August. Your Session will meet again on August 20 to make plans for the month of September.

Thank you for your patience as we seek to balance the health and safety of our church family and our community with our desire to worship and fellowship together as a family of faith. Have a blessed weekend! I hope to “see” you at one of our services on Sunday!

Your Servant in Christ,

Pastor Greg
