Once again, we were overwhelmed by the generosity, prayers and energy for Open Table last month. Together, we assembled more than 5,000 sacks/sandwiches and prepared almost 800 special meals. It is a joy to be a part of our church family as we are working together. Not only did we provide needed meals for others, we did it with faith, positive energy, conversation, creativity and humor. As is true with any mission project, participation in the Open Table is a blessing to all of us.
Thank you!

*“Special meals” entailed Wednesday afternoon gatherings in the church kitchen, preparing and storing meals, delivering to Catholic Social Services to return a following day to assemble and serve hot lunches or chef salads. This ‘above and beyond’ effort was opted by the Mission Committee in consideration of those who eat sack lunches regularly.
For 2016 the Open Table Fund had a beginning balance of $7,205.85. Total receipts to date are $1,165.00; total expenditures $5,318.82. The ending fund balance of $3,052.03 is a great start for next year! Glory be to God!
