Discernment Group:  “The Big Questions”

The college years require engagement with some of the biggest questions of life, but you don’t have to face these questions alone!  Come and learn prayerful discernment techniques in a welcoming atmosphere featuring a home-cooked meal, trained mentors, meaningful conversations, support, and an opportunity to give and receive input to/from friends who care.  Led by Hastings College Chaplain Damen Heitmann, this group meets on Sundays after worship (approximately 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.) in the Kessler Room.  All college students (not just Presbyterians) are invited to join in this group!  No class on March 19, March 26, nor April 16.

“Adopt-a-Student” Program

First Presbyterian Church families love college students!  If you are a college student, please consider connecting with a local family through our “adopt-a-student” program.  These families offer tangible signs of love and support, such as local information, home-cooked meals, meaningful conversation, finals week care packages, and a tie to the faith that will sustain you in difficult college days.  Contact Kili to sign up: 402-462-5147 or [email protected]

College students are welcome at any time to join any or all of our “adult education” classes and programs.
Many students enjoy singing in the Chancel Choir, too.  Please contact Dr. Robin Koozer for more information about joining the choir.
