Members and friends of First Presbyterian Church are active in the church and the local community.  Please join with us in serving God and one another!

Worship is the primary way in which we come together.  Various types of worship services are available; find details for each on the Service Information link on our Church Info page.

Adult Education opportunities for learning and study are available Sunday mornings and mid-week.  Details are available through the Adult Education link on our Ministries page.

Chancel Choir and Chancel Bell Choir welcome singers and ringers who desire to share their gifts in praise and worship. Chancel choir practices Wednesday evenings, 6:45-7:30 and Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:15.  Chancel bell choir practices Wednesday evenings, 7:30-8:15.

Wednesday Night Live is a mid-week program primarily serving children and youth.  For details on this program, see the Wednesday Night Live link on our Ministries page.  Volunteers are always needed for various aspects of this program, including teaching, playing, cooking, greeting, and cleaning up.  Contact Rose Koepp for info on how you can be a part of this fun program!

Presbyterian Women automatically includes all women associated with the Presbyterian church.  Details about various activities specifically for women are found at the Presbyterian Women link on our Ministries page.

Mariners is a group named after a generations-old Presbyterian association, but the current Mariners cohort takes a fresh approach to coming together for fun, mutual support, and service to others.  Whether meeting at WineStyles or a coffee shop, this group of young adults is welcoming, authentic, and relaxed.  Gatherings take place as desired by the participants and are usually announced through Facebook.  For more info, contact Kili Wenburg at the church office: 402-462-5147.
Caring Visitors have provided a ministry of visitation for many years. In consultation with the visitation committee, caring visitors work in coordination with the Deacons and Pastor to assure that our homebound members know that we care for them.

The Prayer Chain is a confidential ministry of members of the church who offer themselves in prayer for others. If you have a prayer concern, please call Mary Fisk: 402-460-7880, and your request will be passed along to the chain.  Additionally, you can leave a prayer request through this web site by clicking on the Prayer link above.

College Outreach takes place in a variety of ways.  Whether you are a college student in need of support, homemade cookies, or a deep conversation….or you are an adult wishing to provide support and encouragement to college students, purposeful connections can be made by contacting the church office.

Committees exist to plan and guide the functioning of all aspects of our church life.  Current committees include Congregational Life; Worship, Arts & Music; Christian Education; Mission; Communication & Technology; and others.  New committee members typically join in January of each year.  Please consider offering your time and talents by joining a committee!  Find out more information at the Governance/Committees link on our Info Center page.
