Dear First Presbyterian Church Family:

Happy Tuesday! I hope every had a safe and fun Labor Day Weekend. I have a few quick announcements and links for you to start your week:

-Sunday 9/13: Worship in Alexander Park at 10:30am with Bagpipes and Bible distribution for Kinder, 3rd, and 5th graders! Join us in-person, bring your own chair and facemask. Following worship we will have food trucks in the parking lot, so buy yourself some lunch and stay for fellowship and fun! If you can’t come in person, you can also watch the service on Facebook Live or listen on KICS 1550 AM radio.

-Sunday 9/13: Adult Education Forum via Zoom! Dr. Dan Deffenbaugh, our scholar-in-residence, will be teaching a 3 week forum series entitled “Journey to the God of Love: Finding the God of Love and the Love of God.” Contact the church office to get the Zoom link to join on Sunday at 9:15am.

-Coat Drive: We are collecting coats to be given away in October. You can either bring your extra coat to the Worship in the Park service, or you can bring it by the church office anytime Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm until October 14.

-Bible Study Chat: Our Monday Check-In bible study chat is a day late due to the Labor Day Holiday. Kili joined me for it. If you want to listen to it like a radio broadcast or download it as a podcast, click here: https://soundcloud.com/damen-heitmann/9820-monday-check-in-on-tuesday

If you would prefer to see our smiling faces, you can watch it on YouTube by clicking here: https://youtu.be/9OtSl0PuvCg

-Worship last Sunday: We had an octet from our Chancel Choir join us for our Stay-at-Home worship last Sunday to help lead hymns and sing an anthem. This was the first time we had the choir sing in the sanctuary since March, and it was BEAUTIFUL! We also ended the Summer Sermon Song Series on a high note with a sermon on the song “Be a light” and Romans 13.
