LINKS TO MONDAY CHECK-IN

Pastor Damen and I did our Monday Check-In conversation. We shared some announcements, marveled at Damen’s COVID-19 beard, and did a bible study on John 6, the feeding of the 5,000. If you want to listen to it like a radio broadcast or download it as a podcast, click here: https://soundcloud.com/damen-heitmann/060120-monday-check-in

If you want to see our smiling faces and Damen’s epic beard, you can watch it on YouTube by clicking here: https://youtu.be/dPmLANeX63Q

RECAP AND LINK TO SUNDAY WORSHIP

It was another glorious day of worship on Sunday as we celebrated Pentecost with a Holy Spirit Parade! Some of our church family listened on the radio and drove around town during worship by the houses of some of our homebound members. If you missed it or want to catch it again you can click here: https://www.facebook.com/fpchastings/videos/245030686601620/

We have footage of the parade embedded in the video along with music led by our amazing organist and Robin and Anne Koozer. Robin even shared a rousing anthem of, “Everytime I feel the Spirit” which was perfect for Pentecost. I preached on the Pentecost story with a sermon entitled, “The Holy Spirit Gives us Understanding.” Pastor Damen also offered a beautiful personal prayer reflecting on the events of the past week. Check it out!

PREVIEW FOR SUMMER SERMON SERIES

We are going to start a six week sermon series on children’s books. This week I will be preaching on the classic, “Stone Soup” and comparing that to John 6 where Jesus feeds the multitudes. Stay tuned for upcoming sermons based on children’s books, and we will also do the Summer Sermon Song Series for the second half of the summer, so send your suggestions along for that!

Have a blessed week!

Your Servant in Christ,

Pastor Greg
